Like the title says I installed my rough country sleeves today and then I did my first boosted launch. I'm running the PPE on lvl 2 and my torsions are in the stock location. The truck launched good and straight and took off like a rocket. I was wondering if its cause i don't have a lot of power or wasnt on a sticky race track that it went good and straight. Ne ways its not a big deal but it was new to me and kind of a rush. :D

It should go straight :thumb: Sleeves are a good investment to protect your tie rods.

Funny you say that because I also installed the rough country tie rod sleeves today. It was very straight forward and a very easy install.

They say cognito braces aren't necessary when installing a straight centerlink. I am going to keep mine on when I install my centerlink because I already have them, and the centerlink can still rotate a little even with a straight centerlink. It probably isn't enough to make the truck tow in much if any, but it can move a little.

After purchasing sleeves, could I just go with a centerlink and not purchase the above? Or should I go with the above and not centerlink?

Less chance of buckling a straight center link, but like Josh said, they will still move a little. You'll also lose a little of your turning radius with a straight centerlink, not sure if that matters to you or not....

Friend of mine has the braces and sleeves on a truck with a 6" rcd lift. Boosted launches, pulling, etc....theres no toe in at all as long as the tie rods and cv's are straight.

I'm holding off on the cognitio braces, some people have had some carnage with the braces, breaking the pittman arm off.

I'm gonna guess there may be more going on. It is possible that installation error may have something to do with the first link. I'm not sure about the second one though. Other than these two, I have never heard of this being an issue. I've put lots of miles on my truck with cognito braces and never had a problem. Lots of other people too.
