I installed a new grille the other day bc my old one was painted and was starting to peel. im going to paint the inserts between the headlights white and leave the rest black. I think it looks pretty good but the chrome looking studs are plastic. You can easily unscrew them and put some real chrome or stainless studs in it but its fine for now.

Looks good man, from the pic it looks like a clean install. Ive been thinking about doing this myself but was unsure just because of the fact of having to pretty much gut the grill. How does the insert secure by the way, post up more pics from other angles and behind if u can

Looks very good. What makes it a lot better is the clean look behind the grill. I've seen so many of those grills installed where the paint is chipped/peeling on the radiator support brace, or all the a/c condensor fins are smashed or filled with bugs.

I do not have ac right now on the truck bc i was ready to get it running and it was winter so i just deleted it, lol . When i put ac stuff back on this spring im gonna put a brand new condenser on it bc mine is kinda beat up. When i do that im gonna put a nice trans cooler on it too. Should look good back there

I didn't think it would be a clear visible through the grille with that mesh. It does look good though. If the mesh holes were smaller, I think it would look better and less visibility of the radiator, condenser, etc. Do they offer something like that?

No offense taken here. I am happy with it so i guess thats what counts.. You can see through it pretty good but i think with the condenser on it it wont be as noticeable through there. The light was shining just right when i took the picture really made the intercooler stand out.

Im not sure if they offer that grille with smaller mesh. I didnt see any on ebay when i bought this one but they might have some.

I have a very similar grille on my LMM. I didn't like seeing all the shiny stuff behind it so I took a rattle can of black paint and shot it all. Looked MUCH better. But to each their own:thumb:

Grille looks good!
But Yeah, as cool as the bright aluminum intercooler is ya gotta paint the intercooler and anything behind the grille thats not black, black. ;)

I think A flat finish would be best and wrinkle finish might be most chip resilient?

IMPO, I'd also get some smoked bumper lights, euro style ones with clear instead of amber reflectors :thumb:

Im not much of a fan, but maybe if ya paint the top cover on your bumper when you paint the piece between the head lights. Or maybe paint the whole grille and installl black bolts in it. Its just not really my style.:thumb:

Yeeeaaahhh i dont think ill be rattle can painting a 1,400 dollar intercooler just to have it chip off. :D It wont be nearly as noticable with the condenser on it. Im building a spare motor i have right now so any aesthetic changes other than whats done will be put on hold for now been spending money like craaazzy.:suicide: lol
Now a mishimoto black intercooler would look really good back there for sure.
