Input/output shafts

What power levels are guys running in the stock ally input/output shafts?
Figure I need to know that before I learn the hard way….

If you drag race and are going fast (800 or more hp usually but not always) the input shaft. If your sled pulling at the same level or more (usually but not always the case) output shaft. This is a general rule but not always the standard though. Some have had luck with the stockers at higher levels.

i have stock shafts in my ppe stage v and they are holding up just fine. Have billet ones going in the new suncoast trans going in though. was at 868 hp and now i'm up in the 900-950 range, daily drive it and no probs

ok seems like luck has more to do with it holding up-guess I’ll take my chances until I need to go back into the trans. From stories I hear almost all the time when they break they don't hurt anything else, correct? I'm thinking I'm going to be around the 800HP range when I'm done playing

Trent ran stock shafts in hos trans at 1200hp and never broke one. Its a luck of the draw.
