Do the GM upper cylinder cleaner on the injectors it should cut the injectors+, down to least 1/2 of what they are.I've got+6 brought down to +2 before.Do you have a good lift pump with filters? The lift pumps i build i use a 3 Micron water Sep then the pump then a 2 Micron deep filter, they filter way better then the stock filter and i eliminate the under hood filter.

Yeah when we do it we use a gallon and pour the total contents of the cleaner in and fill the rest with diesel and run the return line back into the gallon jug and let the truck idle for a few hours and it cleans them up nicely most of the time.

Just make sure you change your oil right after it will really dirty your oil.

What cleaner chemicals u using,
We just buy it at the dealer its GM Upper cylinder cleaner i think its 19 bucks and it really does work.

If you have a lift pump pull the fuse or disconect it in some way.Remove the fuel supply and return line at the quick disconects. Now if you by chance have the short piece of fuel line removed from your truck that connects the fuel tank to the hard fuel line its percfect for snapping on the fuel line that goes right to the cp3 and stick the other end right in the gallon jug or cleaner and diesel fuel.If you dont have the line just get a piece of hose that just slips on to the steel line and hose clamp it on,do the same with the return ine and run it right into the same jug.start the truck and let it run till its all gone, probably will run for a few hours. The longer you can run it the better job it does of cleaning your injectors.

thanks for clarifying, i see how this would work. Would it work better if you had a higher load on the injectors, maybe some good WOT runs?

Well it would be hard to keep the jug under the hood :roflmao:

We have always done the cleaning at idle and it has always worked very well,i believe the cleaner runs threw the injector to fast to do any good at WOT.JMO

My last set did something like that. had a quarter tank of fuel left so i threw in a quart of diesel kleen and a quart of 2 stroke oil. they dropped right back to 2.0.

they were still on their way out though. Guy tested them and shot me some pics of what happens to the seat/ball of the older non chromed style. looks just like someone took the edge of a file and ran it right through the hole and ball tip

thanks for the input, it has now dropped to 1.9 on my edge. I have no idea what is going on. but i will keep my eye on it

I would make sure you get good clean fuel and additives in the tank an replace your fuel filter(s) as soon as you can, kinda sounds like water.
