Thank u for the answer, and yes u did give me answers that I wanted to hear. Until now I haven't heard if the rebuilds worked or not, so thank you. Usually no body says anything about it. With that said I'm going to ask another question. With my commercial discounts I can get a set of BWD remans for close to wholesale pricing. I haven't heard much except what was said earlier, good quality injectors. Has anyone had experience with them?

Look up Pensicola Diesel and you'll see why these cannot be remanufactured by someone not capable. The parts the Bosch uses in the reman process are NOT available to shops not certified by Bosh to do this kind of work. Even most shops certified are not able to get the parts the Bosch uses to reman.

I really hope you get your truck fixed and right. can't say I have ever heard of BWD myself.

There was a thread here in the last few weeks of somebody using BWD injectors, and having ALL of them be worse than what he started with. As I recall, I believe he made it worse buly trying to save a buck.

You're not alone here, I tried saving money and bought a set off ebay from a seller who until then had an ok rep, and it SCREWED ME ROYALLY! Ended up out of pocket ALOT of money buying a set from GM after the core charge and all the money I was already out for the other set because they said there injectors were good, it had to be my engine. So I had to buy the injectors from GM so I could prove my engine was fine, and it was there injectors that were at fault. Took me almost 3 months to finally get most of my money back because they drug there feet sending me my cores back. The worst part was we were supposed to use my BURB for our honeymoon(hence why I put new injectors in it, didnt want to have problems 2500 miles from home), ended up having to borrow somebody elses SUV so we could keep all our stuff inside. If I had spent the extra coin up front, I could have saved myself doing my injectors 4 times(the 1st set, 2 replacements, then the set from GM), finished my BURB WEEKS sooner, and have taken it on our trip Instead of a 4 cylinder TOYOTA HIGHLANDER(should have rented a minivan or something, that thing Was a TURD in the mountains).

So we've been here, seen others here, and seen the situation made worse and cost even more money to get there trucks fixxed right.

Contact Brent at Lincoln diesel and be done with it. Or be prepared to redo them.

You can't get the equipment without being bosch certified.

I thought you swore by Pensacola

Had that beer by the way. It was an amazing ipa. Super bright but not very bitter or sweet. Especially considering the abv. A while ago not just now haha

Listen to these guys. Go with genuine Bosch Remans. If you don't have the money than save up. Trust me when I say you will halve worse injectors than what you started with if you do not go with genuine Bosch. There have been tons of people before you who have gotten ****ed, that's why these guys are giving you the advise that they are.

Lbz, built trans, efi by Danville, Danville 68, full egr delete, mbrp down pipe, 5" mbrp to 7" stack, ppe guages, custom traction bars, airdog2 165, ppe fuel rail mods, s&b, afe blade runner, Arp head studs..died March 2015

Parts collected for the build. SoCal super damper, SoCal billet flex plate, SDP S400 kit, II 85% CP3, PPE manifolds/up pipes, PCV reroute. Slowly but surely lol

Hehe answered that way because if you would have searched the forum you could have saved time and answered your own question almost every injector thread starts with x brand injector any good and ends with call Brent at LDS.... Also he probably said good lord because your above response with chest stuck out.

Ps call Brent at LDS :thumb:

I've been considering trying to rebuild the injectors too.
Despite all the "just buy reman bosch injectors from LDS"
and "contact LDS for advise/support" replies - - I see that they sell matched sets of nozzles for injector rebuilding.

Just what IS the special skill that only the exalted have ?
Is there special equipment too ?
OK, so if that is multi $K and requires a 6 week class to use it - - I ain't going that route.

Just curious at this point, I will probably blow the $2K and throw in the $550 for fuel lines just in case.
On the "while it is all apart" principle.

The Injector nozzles they sell are not repair nozzles, they are oversize. But Bosch reman injectors and be done.

Did you really not read all of the answer in just this thread alone. Your questions has been answered by nearly everyone in here. You don't need magic to rebuild the injectors, you need 100k's of dollars.

I want to join this. Call LDS my friend an my dad used him an got a great price an great product. To rebuild injectors they have to be flow tested/bench tested an have them balanced to within 1-3% of each other (I think) tolerances have to be measured with specific tools. Has to be a 100% clean environment room so no debris gets into themy including dust. Certified an taught by Bosch to rebuild injectors. In other words 100k dollars plus of equipment. I have always gone by this. You cheap out now you spend double later.

Doing nozzles is not rebuilding injectors. Nozzles are rarely the failure in a common rail injector. As to tools, you need about $30K worth the equipment BEFORE BOSCH will even sell you the required pieces to fully rebuild one of there hpcr injectors. So that is why you see the response of go to lincoln, exergy, or the like is even 99% of the shops out there don't have the tools to rebuild and test an injector, and this also means they can't buy all the pieces to remanufacture them as BOSCH holds the patent, and will only sell to shops who can properly and conpletely rebuild them. So it's not because we don't want to do them, or don't have the skills to do it, but that it is basically impossible for the majority of us to do so as we don't have the tools or access to the equipment.

So when you see these diy rebuild kits, it's just a wallet emptier as they know you can't do it(hence why many of them offer reduced prices on replacement injectors if the rebuild kit doesn't work).

Thanks Ferm. That is 100% on the money.
