Injector Ratlle Question?

Could what I think is injector rattle at about 2000 rpm really be a leaky head gasket or maybe bad valve adjustment. My balance rates were as bad as +8 and +6 (I heard +6 is ok) and before I go and try re-torquing my heads and adjusting my valves I would like to get some opinions and real advice. Also had Exergy test my 60 overs and they came back with good numbers.
Any Ideals? Any problems with injector seals?
I have a stock good used set of injectors I can try?
I appreciate all the help!

Check for exhaust leaks, is it worse under load?

Rail pressure coming on too hard will give you rattle/knock too.

what exactly is happening (inside the injector?) that causes the rattle?

I had a similar problem with injector rattle under mild acceleration....Once I have 4 to 5 lbs of boost no more rattle. I completed the injector cleaning process with GM upper cylinder cleaner running through the injectors and my balance rates improved. See link below.... Is that at 2000 under load or just crusing? Balance rates should not be that bad. Six is recommended replacement rates. Four and under is OK.

I did raise my rail pressure and that is when this all started happening. I was worried that I damaged an injector seat or something. I then lowered the rail pressure back down, and even to stock and i am still experiencing rattle.
What else could it be?

If you can get it to do it steady and then turn off one injector at a time through the DVT controls it will tell you if it is one injector or something in the tuning.
