Yup. just OEM ones if using stock hold downs. For the couple bucks each that they are, its well worth the peace of mind. Not worth the risk of breaking one in the VC or not having it tight enough and having a leaky cylinder on a long trip.

On my billet hold downs, i reuse the studs tho. That probably goes without having to be said tho lol :D

They are TTY bolts so always replace, but I won't lie I have reused them on stock trucks and haven't had a problem yet.

some do it and get away with it. some dont. Is the 16-18$ worth the risk? i chose no and buy new bolts every time. Every customers truck who rolls through gets new bolts every time.

I've reused mine probably 10 times. I never torque them to "spec" either. I just give them the strong arm and call it a day. Never had an issue.

And are they really tty bolts? Usually a tty bolts have a torque and angle procedure. These are just regular 18 ft lb or something like that right?

Torque spec is goot-en-tight? Haha

German torque spec. Ironic though because the Germans are some of the pickiest about precision and torques. German cars are nothing but TTY bolts.

Thats the difference versus a lot of people. When you are doing it on your own its one thing, but a customer truck its nowhere near worth it for the few dollars.

Hell when I bent the rods in my truck back in the day I reused everything when I put it the bottom end back together, just swapped in some used rods. But it was my truck and I wanted it done fast. Not out anything when I have to fix it again (which i didnt).

On someone elses stuff though its nowhere near worth it, labor is too expensive as is the potential hit on your shops reputation.
