Just picked up my L5P last Friday. Looking forward to an Inglewood trans cooler upgrade. What do ya say Mike, when can we expect one to hit the market? Not to sound too anxious or anything... :D

Was looking at a couple 17s today on the lot
The cooler looked to be about 20"x5", only way to go bigger would be taller but there's a power steering cooler a few inches above it

Only 100 miles on the truck so far, too early to say.

Pressure will be higher and so will temps. To what extent, I don't know. I know what they did to the trans but I haven't seen it yet.
Converter will be stronger, input shaft will be bigger, pump will be different and valve body will change and so will software. I can make it better when I see it.:D:thumb:

So far I am only seeing 160's on the trans with just under 2K on the odometer.

Hate that you can only see the trans temp gauge when in tow haul mode. However I do have the scangauage II hooked up and it seems to match the temp gauge.

I just had to change the viewable screen settings on the DIC to get mine to show up. You might give that a try.

Yeah go to settings wit hthe steering wheel controls. You should be able to check it off so you can always see trailer gain settings and trans temp

Went in to the steering wheel controls. Nowhere can i set the Trans temp to stay on.

4 gauges showing are: Oil pressure, water temp, fuel level, and volts. Volts turns to trans temp when tow haul turned on.

On looking at the location of the trans cooler, Increasing height of the cooler will be a bit hard as the supply and return hard lines are on top. Width is already across the full opening. I think Mike said the ones he sells are more efficient at heat transfer than the stock ones.

FYI. Put a few more miles on it. Driving around in Bentonville, AR the other day, unloaded, trans temps were right at 163F. Outside was 55 and rainy. It does run warmer than my 2016 LML.

Just noticed that the dash is completely different in the Denali vs the other trims. Dash is completely digital between the tach and speedometer vs the other trims having 4 fixed gauges at the top with the screen below.

Yup I just noticed the same thing a week or two ago.. I have the loaded trim just under the Denali, I like it but I do think the Denali cluster looks better.. And also I've seen people say when they put it in tow haul mode the transmission temp gauge pops up but mine don't do that I guess.. Maybe that's just a Denali thing too..

Edit: guess that was just talked about above my post a little bit..

Interesting. I figured the trans temps would go up because of the software spiking the pressures higher. I will get to the bottom of this soon and have some mods.

Mike,

The only way to know what the trans temp is during normal driving is to have an external gauge. I am running scangaugeII to see the trans temps. I check it occasionally by activating the tow haul mode which makes the volt gauge go away and get replaced by the trans temp.

I did crawl around under the truck and look around. They put a small fuel cooler in front of the tank. Its about 6" tall by 10" long.

What temp does the transmission have to get to before you can put your foot in it safely?
