I think I seen you post that you are sending them back to Industrial Injection to check them out? If so, I'd be real surprised if they owned up to them being garbage if it turns out that they are and trashed your fresh motor... Instead, I'd look into getting a 3rd party to check them. PM me if you'd like a contact in KY that can fully test them correctly.

Off topic... We aren't too far away from each other. I live in Lawrenceburg. Do you know me/my truck? I can't say I recognize yours. What's your name?

Ditto that, as I'm from Lexington.. I used to go up to the kmart/mcdonalds or whereevr people were hanging out in Versailles to hang out along time ago

Couple people have DDPs. Most I think have Extrude hone, or MDE injecters. I personnally would like to try out the DDPs in my truck

Moved it out of my section and into the hard parts section.

I agree with Mitch that Industrial would probably not tell you if the injectors were out of whack. Last I check they don't have the equipement to properly test injectors to begin with. I wouldn't necessarily point to the injectors as why your crank let go. You definitely need to get the motor out and check out the main bearings first.

DDP has the equipment to properly take care of LB7 injectors. Many guys get the tips done by George (BIG DIPPER) or Jim at extrude hone. I have a set on their way to SoCal to get them taken out to 100% over and completely balance tested and calibrated.

Industial can only check them to 15k psi , and not sure if it is a flow amount or a visual inspection of the spray pattern I just know they chan check up to 15k psi . I wouild spend the money to get them checked by a thrid party if it were me .

Dino, if you haven't already sent your injectors out, I talked to my friend and he said to have you call him and he'll get you on the right path with those injectors.

It appears like you can't do PMs yet but you can call me for his info.

How is it that Industrial is a bosch certified dealer but can't properly test injectors? They "tested" a set of 120lpm for a dodge that I'm familiar with, not long ago but lately I've been hearing they don't have the equipment? I didn't see the testing, nor is it my truck, but I'm curious if anyone can shed some light on this for me?

I'm a certified dealer for a lot of parts that I don't have the equipement to test. The Bosch injectors they deal should be fully tested by Bosch. If they were a certified Bosch refurbishing and/or testing facility it would be different.

I want to clarify something that a few Bosch Service Dealers are saying (Not naming any names) NO ONE is Bosch certfified in Common Rail Rebuilding or testing. At this point Bosch does not have any common rail test equipment to offer to dealers and very very few replacement parts for cp3s or injectors. There is no body rebuilding or testing Bosch common rail injectors under a Bosch certified test. We are a Bosch Service Dealer and sell NEW Bosch common rail components but Bosch has not authorized anyone for testing or rebuilding services, you can only sell NEW Bosch parts and claim to be a Bosch dealer. Some are dealers and are using it as a sales pitch and it is not true infact it is pretty sad that ADS shops are doing it. :(

Now for the other side of it. There are some things you can do to injectors to REPAIR them. I do this sometimes. The injectors in both of my trucks are not Bosch remans. They are the original injectors that have been dissasembled, ultrasonic cleaned, the control valves resurfaced, new internal seals, and new nozzles. The only parts Bosch has released is the nozzle, control valve ball and internal seal. Their are 5 critical shims inside Bosch common rail injectors that I have a machinist from Germany that has made these for me because Bosch has not released them yet. The tolerances are so tight there was not a local machinist that could make these for me. These injectors are not available yet but I am doing research and field testing them in several trucks. I don't consider an injector a reman unless it has all new internal wear parts replaced and Bosch just has not released all the parts to complete the puzzle, there are several shops building injectors and selling them on the internet that are not TRUE remans. BE AWARE!!! I'm going to do a write up here within the next few days with internal injector pics and show you guys what goes on inside these injectors and what fails. It will change your mind about alot of things.
