Being happy with something as stated above does not make it a proven product that can produce comparable #'s to the competition . in order for a II kit to match MPI it will have to make 680 hp on a single pump , run faster than 11.70 at the strip . So report back with with some #'s to back up your statement , untill then state its a cheaper product that produces lower #'s but most guys are still happy with them even though they will not make the same power as the competition.[/QUOT

I'm sure I will be fine. Like I said, once they go on i will shoot you guys some numbers. I have no problem backing up my statement and I have seen first hand these are a great product or else i wouldn't be slapping them on a brand new rig.. Hey i also checked with MPI.. their is no way i can get this setup for 3900.. If you find out anything different let me know because that would be a great price. And yes it is for an LMM. I already have a turbo and was considering having a custom set built or II set. MPI is just way to much for what the kit is IMO. I just can't justify spending that kind of cash for a very similar product. My truck will never hit 680 on stock internals.. wouldn't that be hard on your engine running that high? From the guys i spoke to they said don't go beyond 650 or you will be asking for trouble. 650 is fine with me and with the right tuning it won't be a problem. if i ever wanted to run higher in the future i will invest in dual fuelers, injectors, and upgrade the engine but i got to be rational and put everything into perspective. I could see where someone could get easily carried away with this..lol. It's great to have a fast truck but i don't want to be rebuilding the engine everytime i turn around and reliability is the key. You could throw as much $$ into your truck as you want but again its all relative. That is why I am taking the route I am going. But to each his own. My truck is going to be setup for dune racing but I would like it to hit mid 12's on the weekends and this is very attainable. BTW..My truck will also be four linked all the way around w/ an 11" lift and 38" tires so my setup will probably be quite different than most guys on here. Either way it is going to be a fun build. Now if i can just get this house closed on so I can continue my spending spree!

Besides MPI, or II have you considered PPE. I have heard they are coming out with a kit as well. I am pretty sure I'm going with II but I am definitely going to research this option too.

Ask for Nathan.

Thanks.. I believe he was busy phone but got someone in his shop. forgot the guys name. He was very helpful but 3900 was outta the question. upper 4's..yikes! And they wouldn't just sell the kit.. I would have to buy the whole setup. That's not in the game plan for me. thx again tho.

I ordered an II kit got it shipped to me and it sits on my garage floor because I refuse to put it on my truck so I built my own. If you look at products out there in person the MPI kit is a work of art, compared to the II kit. With all the other time and money spent on your truck my opinion is do it right the first time. I made the time to build my own for the satisfaction and I knew I would be happier than with what was on my garage floor at the time. But to each his own and you get what you pay for.

Why buy II when you can achieve mid 12's in stocker form! If I had the $$$$ it would be for what has been proven and has a track record. Hint...Hint MPI and 11's sound good too!:thumb:

maybe with independent front.. I am going with a very well built SAS conversion. should be solid as a rock when i get done with it.

All the front is still there! i had a BulletProof Suspension, full cage underneath all heim joints steering and uniball balljoints. The rear end broke moving my 22x10 wheels with 41x14.50x22's!! Too Much HoorrrsssePowwa and 4:56 gears.

.............WRONG!!! I've been at the track with SixGunTodd and watched the II twins in action. Maybe the tuning was off, but if I remember correctly mid 13 at 108 and the next pass busted his frontend and couldn't run anymore. This was with dual cp3's, but no propane. Not trying to knock on him, but this is the only truck that I've seen with II twins. Do a little more research before you buy and save yourself a headache. MPI twins and Idahorob tunes are a winning, proven combo.

I run a low 13 at 100mph with the set-up in my sig. so I'm guessing issues were more with traction and set-up than anything else. Maybe tuning as well but basically, if the turbo's are matched to each other and tuned properly, I don't see any reason an II can't run as fast as an MPI.

I have no dog in this fight, just my 2 cents....

how far off does someone need to be off on the plumbing to cause big drive pressure? im not on either side of this fight . Im more curious as too what would be done wrong to get these drive pressure issues
