I'm looking for twins in the next month or so and already know the MPI kits are well proven but don't know anything about II kit or anyone who runs it. Anyone out there actually run this kit? HP range? Will it work good for the average guy who wants to get to the next level but isnt huge into sled pulling or drag racing. II now offers the kit for $3299 which doesnt seem too bad but im not sure. I did a search but didnt find much. I guess if I dont hear from anyone I know to go with MPI. I also read that PPE might have a set coming out soon? Thanks.

Mpi kits are tried and true cannot go wrong. Yes PPE will have a kit for the stock vvt and to work with the 4094 avnt turbo not sure on cost but might be higher with use of Gt47R BB turbo in kits

I'll admit , the II kit is priced very good which is what makes it tempting for most . the only thing that has swayed me , besides having such great success with my MPI parts, is the trucks with the II kit have had high drive pressure (2:1) and power seems to be down compared to comparable M.P.I setups , I don't have the answer as to why but I do know the results to be fact . I look forward to seeing PPE's new kit , I hope they can keep price were it needs to be .

x2...........I've been at the track with a certain LMM with II twins and Dual cp3's that could only muster a mid 13 second pass:spit:........I wasn't very impressed at all.

MPI twins and Rob's tuning and your truck will be rockin the very first day, no guessing. I installed the first siverbullet bolt on kit from II a number of years ago. Guess how bolt on it was?

the II kit comes with a BW S474... PLENTY of air to run 11's with Dual CP3's most likely it wasn't tuned properly. I have seen the II kit and MPI kit in person, the MPI kit is sexy and we know that the standard kit on a single cp3 can put you deep into the 11's. If i had it to do all over again i would have gone with the MPI kit.

Mpi is really a great kit. I had looked at both as well but I am really glad I went with them. The install was very good no need to bully things around because of poor fabricating. Nathan did a great job putting the kit together and helps out whenever you need him and Rob's tuning kicks ass!

i'm going with an II kit shortly. II kits are proven as well and are pretty much the same from the guys i have spoken to. From what I understand the tuning makes a big difference. I can take the 1000 saved and spend it on more mods like a torque converter. The only thing I am doing different is running an s480. I will let you know how mine work out..can't wait. This truck is going to cook!

How do you figure ? what 1/4 mile times have they produced ? what dyno #'s ? let me guess the guess selling them say they are proven ? and its not a grand its a 600 $ difference , there site still say's 3995.00 , though i know they are going muc cheaper , MPI's new kits are 3800-3900 ? Six Gun Todd ran the II kit with the S480 , 95 psi drive pressure at 55 psi boost doesnt seem to apealing to me , along with only making low 600's on the dyno with propane and dual cp3's , Not trashing Todd at all ,I have spoken with him many times, I like him and i think he is a good guy , just stating the facts . If some one can prove me wrong i will gladly retract any statement i have made .

I put a MPI LB7 kit on my LLY. It was a pain just like Nathan said it would be, me being stubborn took it as a challenge. Nathan was always there when I had a question or needed a part. Long story short is he didn't have to help me hack up his twins to put them on a different engine but he did. Good customer service goes a long way for me.
Not saying II is bad just stating my experience with MPI.

.............WRONG!!! I've been at the track with SixGunTodd and watched the II twins in action. Maybe the tuning was off, but if I remember correctly mid 13 at 108 and the next pass busted his frontend and couldn't run anymore. This was with dual cp3's, but no propane. Not trying to knock on him, but this is the only truck that I've seen with II twins. Do a little more research before you buy and save yourself a headache. MPI twins and Idahorob tunes are a winning, proven combo.

Great when i get mine on i will let you know how they work. I have a couple friends in town running about every weekend at the local speedway and absolutely love them.. I have heard nothing but great things about them. And their are ways to fix drive pressure too so i'm not to concerned. I will be running some RDL headers and up pipes so that should help considerably. I'm only looking for 650 and that should be fairly easy running s480 and other mods and correct tuning. And yeah Todd is a great guy and is moving up to larger turbo. Not really wanting to start messing with the engine internals so 650hp and nothing above. i will definitely get dyno numbers. There is a shop not to far from me that is runnng 3 pulls for $100:D. I should have truck completely built by this fall.. so it may be awhile. I'm buying a home right now and that is main priority right now.

" Maybe the tuning was off, but if I remember correctly mid 13 at 108 and the next pass busted his frontend and couldn't run anymore. " So your saying he busted his tie rods... and needed tuning.. but twins are fine? Also, I would be a little worried running Dual CP3's with stock engine.

Being happy with something as stated above does not make it a proven product that can produce comparable #'s to the competition . in order for a II kit to match MPI it will have to make 680 hp on a single pump , run faster than 11.70 at the strip . So report back with with some #'s to back up your statement , untill then state its a cheaper product that produces lower #'s but most guys are still happy with them even though they will not make the same power as the competition.

So your saying if I call nathan up and ask him for a set of twins for my LMM for $3900 he will be fine with this? If that's the case i will give him a shout this afternoon.

see my link above to diesel place , I only talk to Nathan (the owner) when i call down there . I noticed in the link i setup that they are LB7- LBZ , I could be wrong maybe the LMM is more?
