My evo works pretty nice, i know theirs a lot of complaints about the battery, but mine seems to last all day. I dont use the internet a lot during the day though. They also have extended use batterys on ebay for pretty cheap.

The EVO 3D is sick but it won't be on.sale. the regular EVO would be 2nd best on sprint offerings. The shift sucks and blackberry is way to far behind.

When you get the EVO, I can walk you through rooting, overclocking, and loading a new Gingerbread ROM. All easy to do.

Once you root you can wireless tether for free. Great for traveling!

the 3D has a Faster processor (1.2ghz vs 1.0ghz) and double the RAM (1024mb vs 512mb) compared to the old evo. Definitely worth $100 extra to me!

RAM is very important on the android phones. Those of you who use task killers are slowing the phone down and wasting resources.

I have just had to do the same thing you are doing as far as phones

My wife and daughters all got the evo shifts they like the key boards

I got the evo 4g with a otter box defender case and love it I used to have the palm pre.

Once you figure out the phone you will love the android system.:woott:
