I refuse to comment on your comments as it will get ugly on the Anti American bullshit !!! Thats why this country is in so much trouble! Yes it's your money but it's also your country!

I hear ya Mickey! That is the bottom line! Although the argument will say that they are made here basically assembled by majority of imported parts.

The Norco's
Bank Account = Japan

Its not that simple anymore!

Glad to hear, you should have a reliable fork lift now! It was getting rough hearing about all the screwings you were taking from local American companies trying to get your old ones fixed.

America has the best engineers :thumb:, our companies just have the tightest bean counters and shareholders

I spent thousands trying to keep those Clarks running. Cut a check for $2500, it runs 1-2 hours, then breaks again. $16,000 spent on Clark repairs in the last 5 years. When you consider we use a forklift less than 100 hours a year, that becomes brutal.

GM + Isuzu = ??????

Oh yeah that's right the Duramax :thumb:

Congrats on your new new fork lift w/ cup holder

Who knew that was coming? I owned two 6.5"s prior to this diesel and when the Duramax was released yes I wanted one being a GM fan. Looking at the injector eater I own would I make a different choice today? Maybe ,key there is CHOICE. I had NO choice on diesel manufacture. If I could of had a choice of diesel engines in my GM pick up that would be a no brain'er.

I often thought the big three could make a killing if they offered their trucks with different engine and trans configurations like some of the "big" trucks built

Hate to say it Pat but something is wrong. I have owned every fork truck except for a foreign brand. I owned Yales,Cats,Hysters,Clarks,Petti Bone for the most part.

If today you went out and bought a brand new truck today of anyone I mentioned or even a Crown it would come with a warranty and if serviced as recommended you would own a very reliable fork lift for life with the hours you say you will use it for. Cause you bought a used not maintained lift you are now tarnished? Just saying

I'd luv to hear the $2500 dollar 1-2 hour run story. What was wrong with it? Can I be your forklift mechanic? :D

Yea because when you buy American to support your country that magically keeps that vehicle/equipment/whatever from breaking on you or giving you problems.. and if you do have problems, someone will suddenly show up and fix it/replace it for you free of charge.. 'because you supported your country'

Give me a break... if we can build something worth a damn, I'll spend my money on it gladly...and some things we definitely do... but if a particular item is made better in Japan etc., I'm buying theirs and enjoying less headaches.. I only have so much money to waste...

Has nothing to do with being 'Anti-American' it's being realistic...

As long as we all do what we can when possible.

Didn't mean to start anything though.

I chose to buy my wife a new ford escape, ford forgot to cut the drain holes in the door. guess what? that american company i tried to support is not wanting to replace the doors, they are arguing that corrosion isnt going to eat the door. its been holding water in the doors since we bought it. I dont want to keep the vehicle unless they are installing new doors on it. hows that for support from our american company? :thumb:
