II Silver Bullet or S400

Just looking for some input/reviews of the two options I'm trying to decide between. Truck currently has stock injectors and stock turbo, with built transmission. Just looking for a bit more power, lower EGTs and drive pressure. Don't have any real big plans to go crazy with power or anything. I don't tow either.

I've got it narrowed down to either a billet wheeled 66mm silver bullet or a S472 .90ar, 83mm turbine t4. Looking for something that spools relatively close to the stock vvt.

from what I understand the 66 would work better with stock fueling, but the s472 would have lower driver pressure. especially since the II is a T3.

Your compare prices of the two kits?

Yes. The silver bullet is roughly $2450 with billet wheel and install kit. I could get a brand new S400 install kit for $2450 and anywhere between $850-$1500 for a turbo depending on wheel options and sizing.

Currently though I'm already running a 3" y-bridge and egr delete, 3" boost tubes, banks intake and lbz mouthpiece. I would be able to sell all these if I went with the s400 and it would basically pay for the turbo making the silver bullet and s472 the same cost to me.

Go with the s400. I would go with the 87 turbine 1.0 housing and if you could swing the money a 72 TCT wheel.

^^^This for sure. The newer wheel tech definitely makes a difference. I've noticed they move more air at lower rpms and drive a lot better than a standard billet wheel.

Trust me man you don't want the ii silver bullet. I ran it for 8 months & absolutely hated it. This is just my opinion. When I went to a 472 I gained a full second at the track with my 60 overs.

We did a straight out of the box Borg Warner S468/83 .90 on an LBZ & that thing rocks! Spools as clean as stock but gained 6 tenths at the track on stock fuel.

I'm happy with my silver bullet 66/74/14. If I was to go S400 I would look long and hard at a S463/83/.90. I think the price (at Danville)is about the same as the silver bullet.

That would be a quick little S400. What I don't like about the little T3 is how it sucks at high rpm. I'm trying to keep my rods inside the block & shifting at 3200 with over 600 hp isn't how that works. The S400 pushes hard all way through the rpm range. I love em:D
