I paid $900 for cups, welding, machining and valve job.

Mine don't say pat pend on the side so they aren't as cool. :)

:spit::woott::thumb: Wow now that is in my price range!!!!!!!!!! That pic you sent me looked sweet. You couldn't even tell there was anything done to the head. Its nice to see you and John testing these very soon :D

The DTS welded job comes out just beautiful. He does really good work. On the combustion side there's not even the slightest sign that it was welded, you can't tell where it was done. Looks factory.

Anyone give any thought to what happens to the castings when you weld them ?

When the heads are originally cast and cooled I believe they done in a controlled way are when first manufactured, does the welding process weaken the strength or alter the metallurgy ?

I would prefer a screw in design over a weld in, but either way you are still stuck with inaccessible injectors under the valve covers....:(

Yeah, we're aware of that. The question is what about those of us who dont want porting, dont want II's porting or want someone elses porting? Something to think about, could be just as big of a market for just a cup upgrade without all of the other crap. Or, how about just selling the cups alone and having your own machine shop do the threading? I would be willing to put money on II not being willing to sell just a set of thread in cups.

They already have lowered the price. :roflmao:

And why do the offer them lly, lbz, and lmm??

Guess they read the forum, eh? Must not have a Duramax-literate person doing their website, though.
