That is pretty ironic. I was just discussing a design damned near identical to that today with a friend. It probably would be a good design to use..

Wow! I was thinking i would rather go this route untill i saw the price! Yeah, DTS is considerably less. $1450. Even if thats per head, still cheaper than IIs style by a grand. Wow. Wonder what about those of us who dont want the porting, or want just the thread in cups and someone elses porting...?

The DTS welded job comes out just beautiful. He does really good work. On the combustion side there's not even the slightest sign that it was welded, you can't tell where it was done. Looks factory.

I paid $900 for cups, welding, machining and valve job.

Mine don't say pat pend on the side so they aren't as cool. :)

I got a price from dts that was $3950 for everything. I also think these II are done by Randys engine and machine.

I am so happy that all my problems this year, and mega $$ spent on broken parts could benefit II so greatly :spit: , I had been working and talking with Randy about this all year glad to see he finally finished the design :baby: . The heads DTS did for me are very well done and like stated earlier by Dave ( who has seen my heads in person ) they are very well done and the cost is fair IMOP .

Heads

I have a set just about done for a friend and they will be about the same as 05's price wise. These are also just a back yard hillbilly setup without pat pending. I'm also sure i'm the first as I was tinking about doing this just shortly after I designed the duramax motor for GM. Jeff
