Idle smoke

Look guys. Im not a diesel head. I know squat about them. What I do know, is the smoke at idle is not right. Im going to have the truck looked at Tuesday. Its fuel smoke, black, other than that it runs good. Im trying to geta feel as to whats goin on. I dont know what motor it is.
Just looking to get educated a little before I go to the shop. Its a 2004 GMC 2500HD.
Thanks for your help.:thumb: By the way, it smokes pretty good. My air cleaner is clean. I have a reusuable and just cleaned it. The only mods I have done is a Truflow air intake. 134,000 miles on the motor.

If you barely touch the throttle at idle and raise the rpm's a few hundred does it go away or smoke more?
Hope you have some cash set aside, and get a reference to a mechanic in your area who knows duramax fuel systems, not just a guy who knows diesels! Try to do some reading and learn about your truck too, giving the proper info helps you get the correct help :thumb:
Need injectors, so they say! Its LB7 motor with 134,000 miles. The pressures are good (34) and the fuel pressure regulator is good. What do new injectors cost, and the cheapest place to by? I was told about $275 each.
There are a couple cheap places to buy but you get what you pay for. buy reman bosch injectors what ever you do. plan on payin 220+ per injector
