wow Ive never heard a duramax that sounds that "unstable" when idleing....I thought only 12v's were that touchy. :D

huge cam and huge injectors make it like that? Wonder what tuning its running. Is that truck a stick?

my thoughts exactly Ben on the 12v. Probably has huge injectors and very low compression. Dont know about the stick or not but I know Matt does his own tuning.

I pick my truck up Tuesday and hope it sounds like that, but not idle like it. It looked like too much fuel at idle. My brother has a 775RwHp Cummins that sound's just like that beast.

Big injectors and low compression.

Nasty Girl idled/smoked like that until the tune got refined.

Some people like it some don't.

Sounds just like my truck, when it's below 50 degrees outside. Duramaxes don't like anything under 14:1 on chilly days. (What Guy said). I've heard 2 trucks with headers and Matts trucks sounds like it has them when it get's rev'd up. That's a nice truck.

I think Bobo did the tuning or at least had a hand in it based on their ramblings over on TDP.

It DOES sound sooooo badass though. Be still my heart. *sigh*

Mine idled like that when I had bent all my rods. :D

Seriously, I'm not convinced a Dmax has to idle rough no matter what the HP rating.

I'm 797 uncorrected and you can't tell the truck is not bone stock until the boost needle starts to climb.

Idle is a charecteristic of tune IMO

I've never had a truck run rough at idle. I dont have sound on my laptop, so I cannot watch the video, but anything other then smooth is not needed. Tuning can/will correct any of it.

Some of the large single turbo trucks, some negative timing is used to help light the turbo and that will make it run really pissed off though.
