It's the BCM calibration file, not the ECM, EFILive can't do it. A Tech2 with TIS2000 can though. You tell it you replaced the BCM, tell it the VIN number is wrong, type in the bogus VIN number, and flash it. It will over-write whatever was in the BCM.

lots of info,
soooo i should just bridge those 2 wires that pat mentioned down at the bcm and throw in a resistor for security???.....since i have no clue what wires pat mentioned, can someone tell mein layman s terms what wires to look for. my light sensor only works when its in direct sulight and when theres any hint of shade it turns the lights on...so my interior lights are also on 99% of the time as my sensor has become extremely sensative, this also makes my drl's turn off.....i do have limo tint but it has never interfered with it.

DOH!! You just want a USA 6698 vin #?

Do you have this TIS2000 Tech 2 Pat? If so, maybe we can try it when I come down in May.

Actually, Mike L. might be able to do this as well no? He needs to hook the tech 2 up after the trans build anyhow.

Yup, TIS2000 is the Service Reprogramming System option software for the Tech2. Not sure if Mike has that option.

Well between the two of you or maybe Robert I think we may be able to try this out and see if it works. I don't care if the lights come on automatically, I just want the option of shutting them off when I want to. Without having to shut the truck down and put the parking brake on.
