The extent of my gun ownership is a pellet gun and I dk when or if id ever bother to get one, but I have never seen the point on gun laws tighter than what they are.
Being a farmer almost all of my friends and relatives as well as neighbors do something with their guns and gun clubs are as popular as curling clubs and fish frys. A guy that works for us is a big collector. There usually no room to sit in his back seat due to all of his various guns and hunting accessories. Hes good though, pretty amazing how good his marksmanship skils are.
Anyways. I dont get how people think making something illegal will fix the problem. Didnt work for prohibition but most of all I guess I just rhink that if they want to kill someone they will find a way to do it so you might as well have someone close by to shoot back.
Now i do feel there plenty of people that shouldnt have a gun but theres also plenty who shouldnt be able to drink, plenty who shouldnt drive and plenty who should be locked up.
Now I am not one of the "its our right" its the 2nd ammendment type people. Once somebody seems upset and is uttering those words I usually dont listen to them because they obviously do not know enough on the topis to add anything useful to a debate. Kind of like the people who say "how can you burn more fuel and pollute less".
This country pisses me off a lot of days. The last election was nothing but a social issue war and taxes on the wealthy. Anybody that I ran into only talked about taxing the rich and abortion/marraige. I dont care what you tax the rich. Personally I tend to be against rules regarding taking more from the wealthy since we are a family farm. We now have it all split up into seperate LLC's but dad is still the only shareholder with me slowly buying in. The way the inheritance laws are set up, if he died we would loose the farm due to how high the taxes would be.
Basically i could care lesa about the social issues. For all I care let a gay couple abort a child and carry a gun while doing it. I just want them to quit spending so much money.
