I was talking to my dad about these a few weeks ago. I think my step-mom should trade in her Chrysler 300 SRT-8 in on one of the new CTS-Vs when they come out.

The thing I don't like about the 300C SRT-8 is its an automatic. But it is a sedan so its to be expected. They are fast no doubting that you just can't really beat a 550hp 4 door sedan with a six speed:D:D. I think it is smart for GM to stay ahead of the AMG 63 class cars, and the M5.

It's amazing how stable that thing looks at 200+

I was thinking the same thing. The corvette really is an amazing work of engineering. With a good driver the Z06 will eat anything that costs 100,000$ more than it, and its one of the most iconic sports cars of all time. The ZR1 should do no less than dominate everything in its path. :D

oh ya, and its a chevy too.

How much coin for that bad boy, you think?

mid 60's I would guess.

The sales manager at the Cadillac/GMC dealer I visited today said to look for pricing on the 09 CTS-V to be in the mid to upper $50k's. He thought that even totally optioned out it would just crest $60k.

Late summer would be the time to start checking about delivery's in the fall.

This could be total BS, but it sounds reasonable.

GM isn't announcing pricing yet, but indications are that the Cadillac CTS-V will be somewhere around $70,000.
Not a bad price for the car you get.

2009 CTS-V

Well I guess I can buy one since it will be over 500 hp

I was reading on the the Cadillac web site it can do 12's at 118 in the 1/4 I think I can do better then that ;)

Anyone know what the price is for the ZR1? Are they even available yet? I had never heard of it until now

Listening to the video about the rear suspension wheel-hop is a thing of the past. So 1/4 mile launches will be great in it and they beefed up the rearend so it doesn't sound like they will be breaking all the time like previous models. They said that they have done hundreds of 1/4 mile launches and have not had a failure yet.
