No stock tuning here*EFI Live REAL HOT LBZ by Jess husker diesel* ....i have the switch just no dsp5 tune.

Not sure what your saying here maybe I am retarded but doesn't make sense. All a DSP5 does is allow for you to have five tunes..... You can have the dsp2 switch and have 2 tunes. So say a stock tune and race tune.

Yeah....i know its f-ing bananas. The tune i have loaded currently has a problem with holding rail pressure. So that could have been a factor.

Not holding rail pressure could be a problem. Still, he must have had some mods. I wouldn't feel bad...everyone loses at some point...just build it faster.

so do blankets and heat rap actually make your truck run better or does it just keep under hood heat down:confused:

Both, I wasn't too concerned about under hood temp (Canada = cold) but from snowmobiling experience keeping those pipes hot gives better throttle response. "heat = energy" I also wrapped my up pipes and the downpipe with header wrap (titanium rasmanaz somethin?).

Cobalt SS + Hahn Tuning = bad day. My SS was around 300HP with only a few mods. I miss that toy. If the kid knew how to drive it, even stock they can be a handful. The launch control and no-lift shifting is fun to play with.

IIRC there was a some sort of sticker on the quarter panel...could have been an ss sticker.

And henry i have been leaning that way due to financial reasons.

is that wrap lik tape or do you have to put a screw clamp on each end?

i hate fart tubes but at least it was a chevy and not some dick in a civic that was 3 different colors!
Yes i was thankful that it was a chevy...and not like a Neon R/T or some chit

Sounded like it was a stick and it was REALLY loud...that thing was moving. I took down mom in her CTS but that was still a task...so idk what this dude had.

Have you ever popped a rail code and if so have you bottle tested it. Do you have a shim in the rail or a race valve.I might have one of my old tunes still that made good power when I was a stock turbo and single cp3 that you could play with and stick the tables into your stock tune.

Rail is shimmed and i havent thrown a low rail pressure code in a while. I think i might bottle test just for the hell of it. But the tune i got was just a script he ran on my stock tune, that he had mad for a guy or some blah blah i dont remember. But he said it had a built trans, stock turbo, single cp3 and a lift pump. But the truck runs good at WOT but at about 3/4 of the way down the truck will shake during acceleration.

shake? thats no bueno at all. Cobalt SS's are not slow with port n polished charger, pulley, tuning, they are some quick bastards. but I'd deff say get a race tune from rob. he's great, tune it, log it, he'll see if you can up it anymore till you get the most out of your cp3. and best of all....no 3/4 throttle shaking and a happier motor :roflmao:
