I have been reading so much info about converters I feel like my eyes are bleeding and I still can't decide which converter I want to go with! Stuck between 1058 and 1056. I will be using stock charger for the near future but I want to eventually go compound s475/stock. I like the 1058 but is it too loose for a stock charger/daily driver? Which converter will do better at the track? I daily drive my truck, occasionally tow a trailer (will be towing a bass boat on regular basis in the future), and I like to go the track pretty often. I'm leaning towards the 1058 but what do you guys think? Will it work good on a stock turbo truck? Thanks!

From everything I've read, the 1056 is a good all around converter. If you can contact Mike L. He will steer you in the right direction.

I know it would be great for the vvt, the stocker 475s usually spool pretty good But hopefully Mike will chime in or you could call Suncoast and see what they recommend.

Andrew is the Suncoast rep on this site also.

Ya what's wrong with a 1056? Its a great all around converter. From friends that run the 1958 they either love it or hate it.

1057 has a pretty low stall (1800 rpm). This wouldn't be too tight for twins?

i've been towing heavy(26k gross) with a lower stall then that (1500).. it will load the stock charger allot better, moves the truck off the line very nicely especailly if you/your tuner tunes for it :thumb:

once you are going stall doesnt play into things near as much as getting off the line ie in then 0-30mph speed range

No one has established a rating by fluid coupling and stall yet?

Im curious to see it laid out.
