i have a 03 duramax, i think its the hydrabooster thats leaking. its leaking right where thr master cylender and the booster bolt together. any ideas or thoughts of what its is and how easy it can be fixed? also when i lifted the truck the abs light comes on from time to time, it comes on after a few miles going down the road and then re sets when the truck is shut off. i scanned the computer when it was on and the code said it was the drivers front sensor. i changed the sensor and it went away for a few days anf them came back... any ideas on that. im lost......

The ABS code is from the increased tire size. The max tire size you can run without throwing this code is 34.25" which gets the speedometer fairly close even with 37s.

It is also very dangerous to drive with, being that as soon as that light comes on, the ABS system is disabled.

What do you use to calibrate the speedometer? If you set your tire size to 34.25", the light should not pop.

More than likely it is the hydroboost unit leaking itself. They are fairly simple to change. If you lifted your truck yourself, you should have no problem replacing the hydroboost unit. Like steve said ur abs light is probably from the larger tire size, I have had to reprogram the tire size in the abs module with a tech 2 on a few around here also.

The leak would be from the hydroboost unit. I have never had a problem with the ABS on my lifted truck with 35's. It is a 03 also.

i have a ppe programer and i set the tire size to 36.50, in the instructions for the programer it says to use a measuring tape and a ruler and then enter that into the programer. if i set it at 34.25 isnt that gonna throw off my speedo?? because right now its pretty dead on. i have a buddy that has a tech 2 that i can make other changes with if need be. any advice on what i need to do to get this fixed??

your speedo is correct but the PPE can not flash the ABS modual to tell it what size tire your running. there is only so much allowance given in the ABS modual and the max is 34.25" tire. meaning that the abs modual will let the speedo be calibrated up to a 34.25" tire and still let the system work because the ABS modual can understand it. above that, it kills its self cause it gets confused. I run 37s on my truck, the speedo calibrated to 34.25 and it only reads 1 mph slower than actual speed. I believe there was a calibration that could be flashed in with a tech 2 that would allow you to use a number bigger than 34.25 to get dead on speedo settings but dont remember where it was. i think its in the tech section as a sticky about "ABS".
