I know the forum here is much more geared toward the sled/drag racing scene but ill add a little different flavor here. time to change it up a bit on the truck. this has been a vision of mine for quite some time to do to the truck and will be part of "stage 1" for the truck. Im headed out today as well to go look at some 10" stroke fox shocks (only 2.0s though). Stage one will consist of the 10" stroke fox shocks running off the factory LCA mount to the factory frame mount with two tabs welded in to accept the eye style bolt-in (instead of the factory stem style). I will then be building a hoop that will resembles a shock hoop but it will be holding these hydrulic bumpstops that will strike the UCA. the UCA will be getting a little attention as well to be sure it holds up to the abuse. From there, a set of limit straps will be going on to limit my suspension droop and these will be mounted from frame to the LCA. the goal is to ditch the factory bumpstop steel brackets and stops all together. i hate how the UCA bumpstop causes so much wear on my UCA ball joint when it can be avoided and allow them to last longer, not to metion the LCA bumpstop is not in the greatest area for hard off roading. Its almost like not having a bumpstop up front. the new setup will put the bumpstop for full compression at near a 1:1 ratio with the suspension in comparison to the .33:1 ratio the factory bumpstop is at. this will help the affect of the "bumpstop" and not let it affect my shock valving untill the last 3" of wheel travel

the goal is to hit around 11-12" of actual wheel travel where before i was at 9" due to the dual shock hoops from fabtech limiting my up travel. testing will soon follow :D
