So.. i am looking at two turbo's and i am torn between them both. I would like to have input on both of them and find what people think. They are very different but these are the two i have narrowed down too... It is the HTT 66mm stainless and the 68mm cheetah. I am wanting to get the the 600 mark. The mods will be as follows one of those turbos, suncoast IV w/ 1058, airdog 150, port fuel rail, shim fuel rail, modded LMM cp3, and efi. Which turbo and do these numbers sound feasable?

Thanks Jonathan

either should get you there, I would suggest getting the 71mm version of eiher one though, everybody seems to regret not going bigger on turbos

go with the 66 then put an 80 on top of it.

See this is what me and Rob talked about... i want the turbo i purchase to be compatable with a twin setup and he said the HTT is going to do much much better than the cheetah in the long run. But he also said i would have to run big twins... Ugh... I need a built motor first i guess...

For around $5000 you can have twins using your stock turbo, bobo has gone past 800hp with his setup.

you should be able to get very close to 600 with a modded lly cp3 or a modded lbz regulator. either one of these turbos is not going to be your limiting factor. it will be your fuel system. you will need more fuel than your stock system can make to get over 600 hp. but some trucks are different then others. you could have a very strong cp3.

Are you looking for track proven 600 hp or to dyno 600 hp it makes a difference .
better question were does the 600 hp # come from? what are you wanting to do with the truck ?

I'd go a little bigger if i was you. 66mm is cake to get on the pipe if the exhaust housing isn't stupid.

HTT is extended tip right? I don't wanna go look it up... I really dig the extended tip map, totally streetable/tractable and CHEAP by comparison to others. Cartridges are readily available up to 80mm, really easy to get under 76mm, they make an 83mm but is $$$.

Haven't heard a bad thing about the Cheeta, but 3-4K? Ouch another 2k and your in bed with twins! But you can tune the cheeta like a regular VVT.

Tough one... 600 is doable with either, I would get another Borg Warner in a snap. Wide map, upgradeable, streetable, cheap, easy to find parts. Not trying to muddy the water but look at some of the stuff they do with the 300 series chargers, start at 66 and send it in... get up to a 83mm with machine work. Grow into it?

BTW- IMO its easier to get more fuel than it is more air. R and R the charger one time is plenty in the stock location.

Good luck Dude!

600 is just what i hope for. I would like no less than 575hp. I just want it.. If that makes sense... I haven't even raced my truck on a strip yet. But i will eventually. I just like picking on the mustangs in town. They can't believe that i can almost keep up as it is now.. And i want BRAGGING rights. 600 is just a number i would like BUT 575 is the least i will take. LoL. greedy i know.

only problem with going big on the s300 frame is its on a t-3 flange if you go to big drive pressure would become an issue . amd dont think you can go bigger than a 74 mm exducer for turbine so it become laggy in some of the larger models .
