Leave the pedestal. The nuts are 9/16? heck, I should have that memorized, but I don't.

The hard one is the oil drain. Go to the autoparts store and get a 1/2" DISTRIBUTOR WRENCH. Undo it under the charger.

FWIW, all the hardware on my HTT was metric. The nuts holding the charger to the pedastal were 15mm.:)

And the distrubutor wrench would make this a bit easier, but I got by with a crows foot.

mantua, oh
i had a hell of a time with mine before the new intercooler now it is still tough but it is better with new tubes. with stock intercooler i finally had gotten it to work by gettin as much as possible out of the bottom boot then i epoxied the boot to the intake tube and clamped it. then just used the clamp on the turbo outlet never had a prob comin off there cause of the lip. also if pcv is not rerouted the oil makes it slippery. just a couple of quick fix ideas. but the new outlet is a good idea or an intercooler as i did with new plumbing

We'llp, got'er welded up today.

I'll try to get a shot of it once it's on. Nothing pretty, but it'll work. :)

Like I said, not pretty. An aluminum spool attatchment on a mig welder doesn't quite put down beads like a TIG, but it works.

It sure is nice to be back at 40+psi!
