Yes the multi-display LMF-200 & 400 units would be a great fit in any conversion because you can lay out a couple of them in a small area. Monochrome, plus they do pop up alarms for things like temps or low oil pressure.

However they need to be the newer Lowrance units for true N2K compatibility. I have an older Evinrude I-COMM unit setting here that purchased off eBay and firmware updated. It's the only thing I've found that doesn't understand this gateway... So I just picked up a used Lowrance HDS5x for testing on.

Think I finally have all the bugs worked out of the gateway. Still testing the GPH fuel burn rate calculations, but the rest seems to be working correctly. My buddy Dave is currently beta testing one on his twin turbo Duramax boat.

Couple tricks we used to get all the must have PID to display.
1) N2k only read 9999lbs fuel pressure, so we divided rail pressure by 10 and it works great. 25,000psi reads as 2,500psi.
2) IAT2 value is displayed as "outside air temp." It's a boat, you likely know what the air temp is..
3) For oil temp values, we move the "fuel temp" sensor down to the oil filter adapter housing and zero out the related table with EFIlive. Boats have BIG fuel tanks surrounded by water.
4) Full Scale Boost Readings. Switching to 5bar MAP sensor and re-scale with EFIlive.

Still in the works.
1) Drive trim sensor values into EGR position sensor. Works on the bench..
2) Get the factory EGT sensors active again, when DPF setting is disabled... Need HELP!!!
3) Pull DTC's and Engine Hours from the ECM to display on plotter. More Hacking!!

Here is a short video of a Lowrance plotter connected to a 2009 truck I made this weekend.

Done

Ok finally reached the end of this marathon. Think we've got a pretty cool setup. Here is a screenshot of one possible layout on a Lowrance display.

Some stuff like getting the "true full scale" boost reading about kicked my butt. All because GM does not use an SAE PID, or even a standard GM PID per say to display full scale MAP data. If you want to try and build a true boost pid for Torque or other apps, see my other topic about this.

But I got boost fixed and now a range up to about 40psi if your boating in the mountains... That should cover 90% of users builds. Even if we "could" rescale the MAP in EFI, it only gains ya 5psi more on the max hex/dec scale.

We ditched transmission PIDs for now, may bring back in a J1939 version. But added TPS% displaying as Torque % value, along with IAT2 and Rail Pressure readings. No EGT option in N2k protocol, so that kinda sucks, but nothing we could do. It will be in the J1939 version I'll start on now. However it does show up as "Duramax" on your plotters device list..

Here is the full list of paramaters available in NMEA version.

And for those who prefer analog over an LCD, Livorsi sells custom CANbus gauges that lets you use all these GW options .

I'll post all the details and instruction sheet over on my marinemods.us site soon as I have time.

Received a .cax file from Brayden yesterday to calibrate LMM OS to a 5bar or 10bar MAP sensor. This also adjusts the GM.MAP2 PID output to match as I suspected. Should work with Edge CTS also.. I love technology...

Not sure how much good that will do you verses and old school gauge. My engine hours have reset on their own so many times I couldn't even begin to guess how many hours are on it.
