When I use to run a tri axle I had a few that thought my truck was slow lol. The Peterbilt I drove had a 425 cat pum up to over 680 rwhp and haul 80,000 lbs easy and fast. If I was running 80 and someone was on my ass I would pull the hand breakand make them pucker there butt holes up.

seeing a good 100 -200 egt drop while towing.

Its hard to get an exact, never the same trailer/road, but I've run over here in Canada on the 401 enough.

Usually tow based on egts, with this size 5th wheel I usually run about 62 and the egt stays below (1000 flat-ish ground). Was running 65 and they were staying in the 800's most of the time.

Should have done this a long time ago:thumb:

Pulled off my inner fender liner to replace from the suicidal coyote. Yup - downpipe is busted at the mount.

Pretty common. Crappy design. The RDL one has a much larger tab and might hold up better. Anymore when I put a one on, I just cut the tab off and say the hell with it. I think they should use a band type deal to go around the pipe and then bolt on. Anyway, the last one that did this to me, I just welded the hole up and it was fine. Just leave the tab off. Diamond eye actually sent me a new one and didn't ask for the old one back

Now that I think about this - I probably deserve it.

Karma.

Huckstrof can back me up on this story too. I get a run out to WI so I can swing thru Huckstrof on the way back and do the before and after dyno runs. Well the Agent (aka wife) has a general idea how long it should take me to get back home. She calls just as we are finishing up at Huckstrof. Stupid me, I answer the phone and have to explain why I'm still in WI. I tell her I had to get a new exhaust pipe on, because mine ummmmm BROKE.:roflmao:

Not to knock any specific brand but the MBRP Downpipe works great and well as the Diamond Eye, but the MBRP pipe is just thermal coated and the diamond eye is just wrapped, both around 200$ but Rick D Lance from profabperformance.com makes a thermal coated and wrapped Downpipe for about 70$ cheaper and from my EGT logs and Dyno runs they all perform very close to the same at upper RPMs, around 3400-3500. Great product and easy to install. It's your choice but def worth checking out.

Update.

After further contact with Diamond Eye I was told it is a design flaw that was changed after discovered, and they will warranty it!

Nice! Company admits an issue and takes care of the bad products!:thumb:
