HP claims for DE downpipe?

Anyone know if there is a HP claim for the DE downpipe?

Looked on their site and a couple vendors and all I see is it increases HP.


Looks like I am going to get the downpipe on this week and do a before and after dyno run on it.

I dyno'd the Diamond Eye downpipe on Wendy, an 06 LBZ. No loss anywhere, gains started in the higher RPM range and increased as a function of RPM. IIRC, it was 9 rwhp? at 3400? I'd have to search for the test results.

DOH!!! Yeah, 15hp at 3350.

when I put the pipe on my egts dropped 50 to 100 degrees depending on conditions. but no less than 50 while cruising. and some grades I run up normally usually 75 degrees lower

about 200 degree drop on the dyno.

As Mcrat said almost no hp/tq gains....

I had a strang boost in tq around 2400rpms after the downpipe install, but leveled right back out by 2500

Hp was almost exact, my dyno sheet cuts out at 3250.

We've had good luck with the Diamond eye and mbrp pipes.

We're test fitting a 4" downpipe on a Cheetah next week :cool2: It looks pretty awesome having a 3.5" plus outlet on the Cheetah

Do you think the 200* EGT drop was beacause there was no wind resistance on the dyno..??
When I draft semi's I can usually frop 100-150egt and maintain the same MPH...

Umm... Both runs were on the dyno.. so wind resistance has no effect on either

I know that, thats why I was questioning it. 200* drop with just a down pipe is kinda high dont you think?
