i am thinking this isnt the best way to do this how the tow hook is still even on the truck i dont know

How not to pull a truck out

Amateur hour. 
Put stuck truck in neutral, do NOT hit the gas. Don't jerk it. They should have pulled all weight possible out of stuck truck, then everybody climbs in the tow truck for traction.

Because that's how he stuck it in the first place. The tires spin, truck sinks.
In sand, leave it neutral, drop tire pressures, remove weight.

To top it off, at the end, it is still stuck, but now stuck on the rear bumper. If you look to the right, they still have to rescue the trailer. So from the looks of it, getting that truck out has been an all day adventure.
Dang the way that truck jerked out of there they will have no problem jerking it the rest of the way out.
Well, if that was 2 company trucks, it's exactly how it would have got done in the oilfield!!
Minus the 6 dillholes who did the faceplant of course................well, maybe not if they were service rig guys. There would have been a beer in each guys hand still after they fell......:rofl:
