How much does it usually charge to put in a 50 yard long driveway these days? I could trade labor for some work!
LOL dude im a heavy mechanic for a union construction company. I would love to have a concrete driveway as my dad used to do that for a living but main reason is i can't afford the sheet lol. Here in Vegas a yard of cocrete is around $100 for some 4k psi mix.150ft driveway will prob cost you a nice chunk of change . Over 2k for a decent size driveway and that's just concrete, no fancy mesh and you have to see how the subgrade is too. Might have to do a sub layer of type 2 to make that sucker last you a while
10-4 on that. Right now mainly wearing on me. FASTI usually charge $50 an hour. Family is free and good friends get a substantial discount. Im not very busy but mainly because i turn down work. The money is awesome but it wears on you and your family after a while.
I heard that. I work on a bunch of CAT 815's, Cat dozers up to D8's, Cat 613's to Cat 627's Komatsua track hoes, Volvo off road trucks ect. I try to stay with easy jobs on the side also. Easier money and usually getting done quicker. Thanks guysOn trucks I charge 50.00 hr or just flat rate the job.
I work for cat and our labor rate is 98.00 in the shop and 115.00 in the field plus zone charges. Zone charge is for the truck, fuel, and convenience. Minumum zone charge is 100.00 (within 25 miles fo the shop), 150.00 (50 miles), etc..... Overtime charge all day saturday and double time on sundays.
You have to remeber with equipment when you go to the job site you are saving them from having to down the machine during working hours and saving them from having to haul the equipment etc.. I charge more for equipment, around 75.00 but I am Cat certified and most the guys I do work for approach me at work. Just remeber parts on big iron are alot more expensive if shit hits the fan, which is why I only take gravy jobs on the side.
