I couldn't help it, I read the instructions. I guess I lose my man-card.

Yes, electric signal does it, but every time it's activated, it cost you $69 to reset. It would be incredible as long as it never mis-fires. If it misfires on wet wood, or when you hit a hidden nail or staple, then it would suck.

with my luck I would have one that was defective.......ouch!

The fact is.....come on guys, dont you think they tested it with all sorts of wood? I mean really.

This came right off of their site

Wet pressure-treated wood may cause the safety system to shut off the motor or even activate the safety system’s brake. The chemicals used to pressure treat wood often contain large amounts of copper and can significantly increase the wood’s conductivity when wet. Allowing wet pressure treated wood to dry unstacked for 24 hours is typically sufficient to adequately reduce internal and surface moisture levels.

so it can happen

Pretty cool saw. It was cool to see on that slow-mo show on Discovery. Looked like it had a "shoe" inside that was like a dead-soft aluminum that also had alot of holes in it to act kinda like a crush zone when the blade imbeds into it. The inventor put his real fingers in it on the show, not a scratch! However, he did it very slowly, what if sombody say, slips an jabs a body part into it real fast, wonder if they get cut a bit?
