Besides, I wasn't gonna waste perfectly good lighter fluid on it.

Now heres one, how would you guys go about removing a sticker from the paint? If I was going to make an assumption on if I didnt have the wonderful internet to be able to ask people, I'd think very slowly and carefully with a fresh razor blade?

not sure what effect it will have on paint, but WD-40 takes off adhesive. So it may work with stickers

WD 40 will take it off paint and nor hurt the paint.

For stickers on paint:
A few companies make those eraser wheels you stick in your drill. They work great. That is what I used when I took my badges off and have removed stickers with them as well. WD40 is good if you don't want to use the wheel on the left over adhesive.
