No that shouldn't matter.
You can select the following PIDs to monitor with the laptop and interface connected (before you open the Scan program!);
DSP5 Delay Counter
DSP5 Switch Voltage
DSP5 Tune
Make sure when you change the switch that you wait the time you've entered in the delay counter.
My voltages were;
0.50v Non DSP
1.45v DSP1
2.36v DSP2
3.48v DSP3
4.54v DSP4
IIRC, Non DSP should be your biggest tune.
Use the laptop on battery power only.
