Whats a vent shade

One of those aftermarket usually smoked color plastic piece that goes on the outside window to deflect wind when the window(s) are open. They are held on by tape. I never cared for them myself

Heat gun and prep sol to remove glue residue

mantua, oh
fastest and easiest way to remove is to go to a body supply place and get a rubber eraser wheel that goes into a drill and it takes it right off quickly

I have heard all of these as well, did badges the other day however and just used my hands...PITA, but it worked. If you pull back on the tape at 45 degree angle slowly it comes off in decent chunks (back and away). pulling forward on it like regular tape just rips it. go slow and it works though. have a beer handy.

once off the little film that is left comes of with warm soapy water and scrubbing with a towel, keep it wet through out and it helps. my paint looks fine and will likely be great once I wax it....never enough time to wax

Eraser wheel FTW!

There's another brand that I use that is alot cheaper than 3M. I'll have to look tomorrow, can't remember right now.

Naptha wont hurt the paint and takes off most adhesives. You can get it at the hardware store. Eraser wheel and then naptha on a clean rag should remove it all pretty fast or have more patience and use just the naptha.:)
