What's your rail pressure doing? Did you get your regulator plugged in good?

the stock one

I have a massive fuel leak. I think one the injection lines wasn't totally tight.

Hopefully that fixed it.

That was a scary test drive:eek:

If I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have any luck

I started the truck up this morning and it caught on fire.

GM's harnesses that looks like a five year old made them one of the glow plug wire grounded out on the valve cover and burnt the insulation off of the wire.

I double checked all the glow plug wires and re wrapped them. The fire was limited to the one glow plug wire.

Oh and you know how I was going back and forth between headgasket and injectors that is because both were bad. So now I have to sell the GT4094R to put injectors in it

Are you sure you tightened the nut all the way and to the proper torque spec, AND you didnt twist it slightly as it tightened? Ive seen a bunch of them, when people tighten them, the crimped "eye" on the wire spins just a bit and then barely touches the valve cover. Theres a good chance that could have happened, although even if it did, we probably wouldnt hear about it (cause everything is always the trucks fault, never the mechanic)

Its possible the wire got turned when tightening it. I did have to fix alot of other wiring because all the loom crumbled and all the tape was coming off.

I could have made a mistake with the glow plug wire. But of all the vehicles I have owned the underhood wiring on this truck is pitiful I am sure the harness is made in Mexico

I also don't argue the fact that LB7 has a bad injector design and mine outlasted most, that is why I like the LLY. But I have to make due with what I've got :)

How is the LLZ running

Now that you've done the head gaskets shouldn't you have an easier time getting the dealer to do injectors?
