How do I add fog lights?

So I bought LEDs for fog lamps. My truck doesn't have the brackets or switch. How do I add fog lights? The wiring is run there to plug the lights in.

I read online you have to take it to a dealership to turn the option on so the bcm/PCM knows they are installed. It said 03 and up doesn't have to but 02 and under have to have it unlocked. Is this true?

Is there anything else you have to add if the lights are led vs a regular bulb?

So yours come on with the headlights? I'm not sure if I would like that. I want them on the factory switch.

I ran a relay like blue09 did but I ran my signal wire from the parking light power wire at the headlight switch. So they came on with the parking lights and stayed on with headlights.

On my 04 I just bought the housings and the switch. The wiring was all there. No reflash was necessary.
