so i just bought my first duramax an 05 LLY and the previous owner bought it with EFI live tune with dsp5 but he says he has no idea what the tunes even are. where can i have it looked at to find out?

somebody with efi can read the ecm to see about what the horsepower levels are. That is if the original tuner didn't lock the ecm
How is this possible? I would venture to say he is full of it, He has to know at least where they came from.......unless someone is going around in the middle of the night secretly tuning trucks?
Gonna be very hard to find out whose tunes they are. It's easy to find out if it is tuned though. Also a lot of tunes that are read out will say this ecm has a copy righted tune on it if its got a ppe, superchips etc tune on it.

Also I thought you could not read out dsp5 tunes.
You could Post photos of the truck and the VIN to the larger tuners and ask if they tuned it.

It will only show the base tune when reading a dsp on an lbz and lmm.

Since the truck came out of St Joseph, it was probably tuned by St Joe Diesel. Otherwise see if you can find out who the old owner was that had it tuned. Odds are if it was tuned by St joe Diesel it will have an SJD sticker on it. There are a few other shops around that could have done it, but my money is on SJD.
