I always WIX filters. Good filters, and you can pick them up at NAPA and Oreillys. I usualy keep them in bulk but its nice to know that if i need one i can just go get it and not have to order it.

if you are using Amsoil, use their filters, they will guarantee them. they are the only nonofiber filters one the market i am aware of, and if you go through a dealer here you can get them darn cheap. I set up a commercial account and pay less than a dealer but pay tax, and i have not looked back. great support, products, and prices

PM me if you would like information about how I can help you get everything at wholesale. If you are going to use AMSOIL, I strongly recommend using the AMSOIL EA OIL Filter, Part # EAO52 for your truck. AMSOIL Warrants this combo for as long as 15K miles in Severe Duty Applications, and 25K in normal duty applications. (These are Determined by your Owners manual.)

Hope this helps.

Maybe I am one of the odd balls on here. I use the 15W-40 Amsoil in my truck but use the AC Delco filter. Had oil analysis done recently at 15K and all looked good. Keep in mind that I have a stock truck (for now) and don't have to drive very far to work and back each day. If you have a modified truck, you might want to look at using one of the Amsoil filters (as mentioned above) or look at using their dual remote oil filtration systems. As for the fuel filter, again I use the AC Delco filter. If WIX is more available to you, IMO they are also a good choice (oil and fuel). However, for the Allison trans, I always use the Allison filter. Just makes me feel better.

Agree, any filter will pretty much work, just depends on what you want out of it. If running OEM intervals with whatever oil, then any good filter will work. If using amsoil and wanting to run longer intervals, then you have two options...
Run any filter and go the OEM interval and change them out and top off or run the amsoil filter and go the same distance as the oil. Their filters do filter finer(98% absolute at 15 microns) and have a larger carrying capacity.
Either way works, just your preference.
