Anybody have any experience with the Hoosier QTP? I snagged some 16x10 pro comp 1069's at a decent price and just looking for a good light tire for the track.
They are priced decent and seem to be a decent compound. I don't think I need the extra height of a 30x14 since I will have plenty of rpms to finish out the big end in 5th.

Are you running 3.42s? If not a 28" tire will put you at 3600rpm at 112-113mph which I know your trapping 120+? , I personally would run the 30x14s. That wheel/tire combo is like 52lbs a corner and with a second gear launch with them, 1.5x all day long in that single cab.

3.73's. I was shifting at 4200rpms and will be raising that to 4500 or more with the new motor. A 28 should put me right at 4500rpms at 140mph. I may have to bump up to a larger tire but I doubt I will see over 140mph unless JoshH gets a wild hair on the nitrous. .

Why don't you loan me those 30x14's one weekend and we will see how they do. :happy2:

i would bet they work well. We run the DR2's for 18" rims on our cummins. after i changed up the suspension, we were pulling 1.5 60 ft's right off the trailer without me tweaking anything, just my base settings. track prep was ok at best as well. i wish we would have gotten a tire with a little more side wall though.

I'd think about it if I didn't sell them already :D
