What have you all come up with as far as a reliable home built fuel system?

Please no suggestions on "just get a FASS or Air Dog", dont wanna hear it please.

Just wanna see what you all have built in your shop for reliable systems, pumps, filters, etc. Pics would be great!!!

Thanks

Source a filter head of your liking, buy an A1000 and one of their fancy regulators and pick which lines you want to run. Fuel hose, stainless braided or bend some aluminum and run that.

I recommend the fuelab 41401 pump, fuelab inline regulator and baldwin bases, pre and post pump filters, but these pumps require minimum -10an (5/8) fuel line to supply the pump, so you will need a larger draw straw or a sump (what I recommend).

You can also run a fuelab velocity 200 pump and create your own install kit

I picked up a holly black off eBay for $110 when I first bought my truck...the pump lasted about 6 months then wouldn't maintain any pressure...which leads me to my next statement...............

Just get a fass.

The holley black lasted me 2 and half years. Now it's replaced with a PPE pump which they have corrected their issues. Works great.

Nice set-up.
When my Fass craps it pants I will be going with the Fuelab Velocity and my own filter set-up.

The Holley black and Perma Cool filter head have been on our '02 since 2006, still going strong...I've been thru 2 FASS 150 pumps in about that same time period on my '07, so I recently installed a Holley blue...

Very nice setup that Ridin'GMC has...

I want to do something with the fuelab pump as well. I'm on my 3rd Airdog 200 and would like to make my own setup when it fails again. Keep the pics coming!

Also interested in seeing people's setups as my AD165 is junk. I'm also looking into using a fuelab pump as I've heard nothing but good things so far.

I just ordered a Holley billet rated 125gpm for 40$ on Amazon. I want to make my own lift pump setup, but I wondered about how people setup the bypass lines? Is there a check valve in line to stop the back flow or did they use like a shut off valve?

Here my setup: Holley HP150, Cat filter heads and filters and built it to separate air from the fuel.

The filter bases are drilled and bolted to the cab.

It's basically a fass or airdog system but quite a bit cheaper.

I've also clamped all the lines to the frame since the photos

Search for Holley billet 125 on amazon. It should be $40.05. I just placed my order. Only 7 left now.....

I'm going to order the last 7 so everybody has to buy them from me & I'll double the price!!! haha:D:roflmao:

Good work guys on making your own setup. I've been depaiting on adding filters to my Kennedy pumps. I have the mega filter just before it enters the CP3 so I'm doing good there.
