Pretty good story from New Years for yall.
We went out riding ATV's at a park here in TX (Mud Creek in Jacksonville, TX). Saw a group of hogs a few times but just not enough time to snag one on the trail before they made it to the woods.
New years eve around dark, as we rolled out into a swampy opening in the woods there was a group of about 15-20 hogs! GAME ON!! WOT in the rzr and nothing but rev limiter holding me back! came up on them and slammed on the breaks skidding through the middle and stopping about 10' from the tree line. Skidding to a stop I pinned a 40-50lbs hog under the front tire, held him there until the rest of the guys showed up. Another guy cut his throat with his pocket knife, we threw him in the rzr floor board and off to camp to quarter him up!
took the winch line and strung it over a tree limb and let it hang in front of the 30" light bar to gut and quarter. smoked it 5-6hrs on the traeger pellet grill for an awesome new years dinner!!! sooooo tender!!!
JoshH was right there in the mix too!! He probably would have beat met to the punch if he had seen them first!
I have a pic of the hog strung up in front of the rzr somewhere, gotta find it.

Sabine ATV park isn't far from you and it has some great wooded, hill trails perfect for SxS riding. one of the best parks I've been to and it is right on the river.
That sounds like a good time. Those are for sure the best eating and you can clean them like a rabbit. I have a rhino but she ain't to fast lol.

Man I miss hog hunting. Grew up in CenTex. Used to go out spot lighting all the time. Man I need to get back home.
We have some catahoulas but they didn't come this trip. Caught 13 total in about in 7 hours. Dogs did great
Some see it, well most see it as a problem. Seeing how I didn't own any cattle or deer land I saw it as fun and an opportunity.
