High Milage questions.

Hi guys, not very tech savy, so forgive me if I'm asking in the wrong place. I bought an 02 chevy 2500hd ext cab short bed, I'm approaching 270k. And want to do some things to her. For sure doing injectors, also a trans, is ther something else you guys would say i need to do wile I'm there. I have an $8,000 budget most of that's injectors and tranny. New to buying parts for the Duramax as well, if you guys could also help with guys you know with solid rep. Thank you everyone in advance.

1. Why do you think it needs injectors?
2. Where are you located?

I didn't start having parts failure until 295k - power steering pump, 325k - transmission wiring harness, 375k - water pump, 467k - head gasket. I guess it all depends on how well it was taken care, maintenance schedules, only used on weekends for drag racing, etc...
