what about a s468 and a gt50 that is between both setups or will that still be to much?

Good luck with what you pick. You have 2 little ones now and want this truck to drive. What do you really want to do with this truck drive it or race it and work on it all the time and put out money all the time on it.

You cant use 900hp on the street anymore than you can 750hp. IMHO anything much over 650hp becomes unreliable and a burden to drive on the road. With 100% over and 2 large frame chargers you will smoke while driving down the road, your chargers will be like light switches and the simple task of passing someone or accelerating quickly on a on-ramp will become smokeshows or your ass end is getting sideways. Forget stop and go traffic and your fuel mileage will turn to crap. I would keep your S366 and twin it with a 4708 or a S480.

Also, alot of people wont say this but once you go big HP you will always talk about how much more fun your truck was when it was 500hp and you could hop in it and drive it anywhere you wanted. It's a big difference between a DD and a weekend cruiser.

Travis is 100% right my truck doesn't make much power 700... and its always down and I no longer trust it on long trips wish I had left it a low 12 second that was completely reliable

I drove my truck all over with the Gt4202R and twin cp3's and 30 % injectors and 1055. On the hwy I was seeing 20 to 21 mpg saw 23 once on the way out here to kcmo. When I lived back in md I drove the truck around town all the time on that setup and was fine yes it was laggy but was ok could not tow alot. I felt safe on trips to events but not to race at them. Once I moved to kcmo and started driving back to md every 8 weeks it did not take long to start getting old to drive. George fixed the trans and asked if unwanted to try twin and he swapped in his setup from his truck and I drive it all over with no trouble. I went from kcmo to md back to kcmo and left 3 days later right to Vegas for the week drove around there and back to kcmo and then back to md already. If I went up in a DD twin kit it might be a 4094vvt and Gt4718 or just go ahead and get a HTT66 and Gt4718 and go up on my injectors to my be 60 or 80 over. Once I find another truck or figure out if I'm going to finish my race car or just race my truck since being a big guy I fit better in the truck. The truck will get a Gtx4202R andGt5533R setup and 100+ over injectors but will not be a DD then just weekend ride and ride around the block.

If you already have the 4718. I like the s366 but think Trent uses the s466 think same turbo less gate and it's a t4 and you add your own.

I use what ever the customer wants to use HTT , BD , S464 , S300 , different turbo's cost different amounts , budget is always key , I like the S300 better in twin sets , as a single S4 frame is much more versatile .

I agree on the other topics but I think about 800 hp is the perfect amount to be some what reliable , fun enough to tickle my fancy ( 600-700 doesn't quite cut it for me :D ) and some what affordable to build , S366/ S480 fits the bill about perfect .

pm me if your interested, i have a guy here in kc, mo that can build you an allison that you will not break!

no such thing I dont care who builds it ;) how long it last at what power separates the men from the boys but they all break . and to the OP I would do Billet output , C2 hub and planet ( though I have never broke neither in my truck) and input if you have the coin , but def not nec unless its a way heavy truck , or big tires and crazy HP.

Make this decision carefully. Big hp is not cheap and requires a lot of work both mentally and physically for not just you but your family.

It is also a road that is not easy to turn around on. Jmho

What does he do sell you 2 of them and just swap the trans out when the spin On needs changing?:D

Unbreakable :roflmao:

Out and about
Like others have said 1000 hp on the streets is too much, traction is an issue at that level. I had a 366/483 set up and loved it. It spooled very smooth, I could pull anything I wanted. I had 100% over injectors and it hazed on start up but once warm it cleared up. That's where your tuner comes into play. With the set up I had if I floored it to pass someone going 55 there were times I was drifting past them. Although fun to say it can be scary exp when you have a car seat sitting in the back seat... I have not ran whats in my signature yet. We are waiting on one more part to show, I hope to have it running before Christmas... I have though abt going to a bigger compound set up but to be honest what I had was really fun.
