pulled a 26' equipment trailer (heavy duty) and decent sized tractor today, and my egts were bouncing from 800(at 65 flat land) to 1300-1400 any type of slope.. any idea's on how to keep them lower.. or is that anything to worry about?

Drop a gear and let off the go petal a little, make sure your cooling stack is clean and that you are not pulling in hot air to the intake
I wouldn't want to keep it at 1400 for very long at all (if it was my truck about 90 seconds or so), and much above 1300-1350 for more than a few minutes, but that is just me. RPM x Heat x HP output x Time all factor into wear, in these engines I think heat, time and HP are what you have to worry about

i tow with my tow tune.. running about 5-10lbs of boost unless the cruise is set and than it jumps to 20lbs or so...i jus put it in drive.. i dont manually shift it.. i tried running fifth gear, but it didnt get any better. but when im towing my 32' fifthwheel camper.. i see about 900 at 65-70mpg. hardly ever much more than that.

Sounds pretty normal to me. Mine cruises at 800* empty. Never hurts to drop a gear and get some airflow moving when towing though. I usually keep the rpms up as much as I need to... 24-2700 if needed.

Here in phoenix my lly sees 700 doing about 70 , and about 900 towing flat up too 1200 on inclines. When I put the afe intake on and ditched the cat is what really helped keep my egts down.

Towing

I pull my car trailer 32ft loaded and never see over 1250. That is with the tune that runs low 12's in the 1/4. When i'm in the hills I drop back to 5th. I think 6th gear is to tall and is what causes some of the problems with the 2006 and up trucks. If you look at your oil pressure and then factor in the egt's in 6th gear it's not good. Run 5th in any kind of hills and your motor will love you for it.

just pulled my 32' fifth wheel 500 miles, and did the 5th gear and ran about 60mph most of the way, and i never seen anything over 1200 ever on some pretty steep hills.

That sounds about like what I see with my 35' Toyhauler. I usually run closer to the speed limit because it is so hard to drive that slow.
