No question and you spelled Duramax wrong...kinda got off to a bad start.

I'll take a guess and answer based solely on the thread title.
Ready?
De-Fuel.

Im going to guess the end was:

"....tires off from a stop." In other words, he's going into a limp mode of some kind, fuel or trans. Doesnt really matter. Would need more info and thrown codes anyway.

Newb, start searching. Its all been covered at one time or another in the past.

Brake torque management. All of the DURAMAX's have it, just most ECM's don't use it. I believe the LMM does. A quick tune change and it is gone though.

Since its a 2009, theres a chance it has stability control/traction control. (extended cab/short bed, and crew cab/short bed only)

press and hold the traction control button for like 5 seconds until the driver info center says "stabilitrak off"

Hey Ben, I know you said hold it till the stabilitrack message flashes in the DIC, and I'm not sure how similar the systems are, but in my 06 TBSS you have to hold the button for something like 20 seconds to turn off the stabilitrack control, 5 seconds would just turn off traction control...
