No I didn't. I would like to have him scored and aged though. He was about 80yds out perfectly broadside giving me his right side. I thought I missed when I layed the first shot down. he didn't flinch,, just turned and started to walk back the other way giving me his left side quartered away. I put two more in his left side before he went down. All shots hit his lungs or heart. the hole pictured is the exit from the first round. I've never had one go more then 10 yrds after i pulled the trigger on them so i was quite amazed.

That is something...especially for slugs (due to the kinetic energy). Definately a tough ole deer.

I've heard of similar with "hot" rifle cartridges, especially 280Rem...deer don't act hit until they fall over.

It was the first I'd shot w/ those slugs. Man they shoot good.
