Thank you guys for the explanations truck recently had all 8 injectors done and a couple of the injector cups and all 8 glow plugs

the fact that you had a couple injector cups done is a little bit scary, maybe they reinstalled one and it lifted back up or they missed one...hard to say but now you have a starting point since someone was recent just in there.

So I took the truck to the shop that did the work and explained everythin go it was doing to them. They apparently flushed the coolant and they didn't notice any signs of pressure in the system and the truck doesn't smoke at all now ? No pressure in system or bubbles when I open the coolant reservoir. The heat only works when I'm running it down the road on full blast, if I turn the heat down to. 82 or below it blows cold air and when idling it blows cold air. The vents that the air comes out of doesn't change when I switch them to any position. I went up to talk to a mechanic that worked on my truck while it was there and I was told that no one had time to talk, and the lady in the front desk kicked me out of the shop and I was told to never come back(it's hard for me to believe that they would kick someone that they just charged 6 grand for injectors and glow plugs) any ideas guys

Sounds like the previous shop messed something up and they don't want to take care of it. Pretty typical of most hack shops nowadays. Im starting to lean towards a lifted cup rather then a headgaskets based on what your saying the history is. The bad part is there is no way to determine for sure which one it is. (Head gasket or cup) If you can do the work yourself I would start with re-sealing all the injector cups and go from there. If you have to pay a shop to do the work you will probably be money ahead to just go ahead and head gaskets because then you will only pay for all the labor once. Any good shop will re-seal the cups when they do headgaskets but verify this before you let someone else work on it.

As for the hvac controls not functioning properly thats fairly common. But I wouldn't get hung up on that yet. If the heat controls are working to the point you get heat going down the road you should still have heat when idling. Once thats addressed you may have to replace the control assembly or a blend motor or door.

That shop can't just tell you not to come back for no reason. If I spent 6k at a shop and they wouldn't make it right, I would have a lawyer already

I have heat when idling and driving down the road if the heat is on max, if I turn the heat down to 82-80 it'll blown cold air and the vents don't change, I can't turn my defroster on either. The truck doesn't smoke or have pressure in the hoses or coolant reservoir and it maintains operating temp while idling , the low coolant light hasn't come on at all since I got it back so I don't think it needs a headgasket unless they messed up a injector cup and fixed it without telling me?

If that's the case then I would take it somewhere that can diagnose the HVAC controls. Who knows what the shop did or didn't do but the problem you are now describing is in the HVAC controls somewhere.
