So your saying straight pipe whistles more? Oh well kits ordered
Yes. You can order the mbrp muffler delete pipe and put your kit together with that. Put your muffler on the shelf and if it is too loud straight piped put the muffler on it.
I've had both. A straight pipe and a muffler on VVT turbo trucks. No comparison the straight pipe is louder with more whistle. My lmm has a 4" Silverline with a muffler and my wife's cousin has an lmm with a 4" straight pipe and it has much more whistle and is noticeably louder. When my lly had the stock VVT with a 4" straight piped it was much louder than my lmm is now. If you want to maximize whistle, a metal intake like a HSP kit would help you too.
Neither of them are remotely close to how loud my lly is straight piped with my s366. It whistles a lot and is stupid loud. It's fine in the country but I feel like a d bag in parking garages and when the exhaust echos off buildings in the city.
If a muffler made more whistle why don't we all put 6.0 powerstroke factory mufflers on our trucks?
